Arbitration Used in Civil Litigation Matters

Commercial litigation is often conducted in arbitration because of an agreement by the parties involved.  Arbitration can be a cost-effective way of resolving disputes.  In addition, confidentiality of the proceeding can be maintained, while in court, most trials and the evidence submitted are open to the public.  Many parties value this confidentiality.
